5. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column)

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON. Operate the tilt and telescopic switch to fully extend and lower the steering column.

(b) While turning the steering wheel to the right and left, remove the 2 screws and the lower steering column cover.

(c) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the lower steering column cover.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the tilt and telescopic switch.

6. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column)

(a) Operate the tilt and telescopic lever to fully extend and lower the steering column.

(b) While turning the steering wheel to the right and left, remove the 2 screws and the lower steering column cover.

(c) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the lower steering column cover.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the tilt and telescopic switch.

7. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER

(a) Disengage the 4 clips.

(b) Disengage the claw to remove the upper steering column cover.

8. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the wiper switch.

NOTICE:

Do not push the claw with excessive force as it may brake.
